The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and International zest into the mix and you've got ZUMBA!
I have never enjoyed working out in general, but I loathed organized classes. I was too clumsy to keep up and felt I really wasn't getting a good workout. I did enjoy dancing even though I wasn't very good at it. So when my friend asked me to come to her Zumba® class, I told her all the reasons I listed above. She kept at it ,and after about 3 months I folded. I was completely lost throughout the entire class. But I loved the music and the energy that the group provided was palpable. I kept going, and within a few classes I was hooked. I give everything I have to give that same electricity in my classes so everyone has a great experience. You may not be graceful,a dancer, or in good shape, BUT you WILL have fun and you will get an amazing workout.

I love how Zumba® feels more like a night at a dance club instead of a grueling work out. Most times I finish class wanting more--how many workout can you say that about?
I'm an at-home mom of two, an aspiring novelist and a frustrated adventure traveler (Why frustrated? It's hard to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with two kindergardeners!). Other fitness interests of mine include cycling, weight lifting and yoga--when I can find the time. In my down time, I enjoy reading, writing and travel.
Zumba® has been a life changer - once I got started about 1 year ago, I started planning my life around getting to class! I love to dance and be silly with the Zumba® gang and after a while, I knew that I'd love teaching. It's a great workout! You are so busy having fun, you forget that you just burned about 1000 calories. Zumba® has helped so many with their weight loss and fitness goals, but most importantly for me, Zumba® gives me a big boost of positive energy. Come shake it with me sometime!
