Century Body is launching a donation drive for Student Success Stores a non-profit project started by long time student Nicole Hebert-Ford.
Student Success Stores’ mission is to help at-risk students succeed in school by providing a free, anonymous place to shop for items that meet their basic needs. During the 2017-2018 school year, students at 4 high-poverty Columbus City middle schools and 1 high school will be able to shop at no cost at their schools for essentials: food, hygiene items, school supplies, and basic clothing.
This past Summer you all came through with our successful Show you Care with Underwear Collection and I am hoping we can count on you again.
This year there is an urgent need for gently used or new closed toe/heel shoes that students can wear to school (sizes 5-12) both male and female. Hats and gloves are also needed for high school students. I know these items cost a bit more than the hygiene items we’ve asked for in the past, so if you do bring in NEW shoes you will be eligible for two boxes marked on your challenge card. Thank you so much.
